EVENT INFORMATION
The Amateur Team World Cup of Golf (www.worldcupofgolf.com ) will take place in Co. Kerry from the 11th – 14th June 2012.
We are looking to bring over 600+ overseas golfers to Ireland for this event.
We have our website www.worldcupofgolf.com up and running and we are updating it weekly with more information about the event.
• We will have both a Men’s & Ladies event running simultaneously.
• We have our 4 golf courses (Waterville, Dooks, Killarney Killeen (Irish open 2010 & 11 host course and Mahony’s point) provisionally booked for the 11th – 14th June 2012.
• We have our 3*Star, 4*Star and 5*Star hotels provisionally booked to cater for 600 golfers. (The Europe Hotel – The Brehon Hotel – The Gleneagle Hotel ).
• We have 30+ golf tour operators worldwide ready to sell packages to our event. These agents alone have access to over 600,000 golfers worldwide via their email database.

• Both events have no qualifying tournaments so it makes our event more easily accessible to all golfers from all countries.
• Tourism Ireland in partnership with IMG Sports marketing ( World’s largest sports marketing company) will organise the promotion and marketing of our event globally. Tourism Ireland has also agreed to distribute our brochure in all their offices worldwide.
• We currently have 27 teams confirmed for our event and 65 provisionally booked (328 golfers).
Here is some brief information about our Amateur Team World Cup of Golf event in 2012.
“The one golf event that every golfer in the world can and should play at least once”
The amateur team world cup of golf 2012 (www.worldcupofgolf.com) is a unique event that lets the average golfer take part in a major golf event that most could never qualify for.
The event is to be held in County Kerry in the stunning South west of Ireland from Monday the 11th of June to Thursday the 14th of June 2012. 4 days of magical golf awaits our men’s and ladies teams as they face the challenges that golf in the south west of Ireland can offer.
Each team will play a different golf course each day:

• What makes our event different is that ALL golfers with a club handicap or national governing body handicap can play without the need to qualify.
• It is a four day event
• We will have BOTH a Men's and Ladies event and both events will be played on the same golf courses over the same days. Everything is equal for men and ladies but they are two separate tournaments.
• Each day the 4 man or lady team will divide into 2 x 2 balls and play alongside 2 other golfers from a different country. The scores from both 2 man teams will be added to make the total team score each day.
• The team with the most points after the 4 days will be the champions.
The concept is to have a tournament each year where golfers from all over the world come together for 4 days of great golfing challenges (2 great links and 2 parkland golf courses).
Golfers of all levels and skills can play and have the chance to become Amateur Team World Cup champions.
It is also a chance for golfers from all over the world to come together and make new friends and have a once in a lifetime golf trip and holiday.
Each night we will organize entertainment such as live Irish Music, karaoke, visits to Irish pubs and restaurants and a welcome barbecue in the most amazing 5* Star hotel in Ireland, The Europe hotel.
Golfers can also bring non playing friends and relations to the event. There are many things to do in Kerry such as, National parks to visit, amazing beaches, stunning drives, horse riding, fishing, surfing, horse racing, mountain walks, restaurants and spa treatments.This is more than just a golf event… it is the chance to have a holiday of a lifetime with family and friends and to make new friends for life.
